We Are Learning To…
Use the prediction thinkers key
What would happen if trees had brains?
They could walk. Trees would have feelings. They could talk. Trees would be able to make friends with you and they could go to you house for a sleep over, we could make a tree house. We are not sure about how human they would be because they don’t have hearts. Max thinks the President would be Tree Obama and that trees would watch Tree V instead of T.V.

What is Summer ?
I see the ice cream running off my face.
I hear birds chirpping a loud tune in to my ear.
I taste the sweet golden syrup just melting into my mouth.
I feel the sand as wet as the sea.
I smell the deep blue salty sea.
By Sam
The deep blue sea shimmering in the sun.
Ice cream melting by the second.
Sweet juicy sausages sizzling on the BBQ.
Children screaming laughing as loud as they can.
The soft golden sand rushing through my hands.
As part of our artwork for our topic (KNOWING ME, KNOWING YOU) we have been experimenting with Photobooth. We really enjoyed it and spent a lot of time laughing at our crazy pictures! Who would have thought learning could be so much fun? Can you recognise us?
Welcome to the start of the year in Room 21. This term we are investigating how we learn best. We will discussing and experimenting with different learning styles and the MIs. We will also be learning about the parts of the brain and what each part does for us. Mrs Stewart is also going to teach us about the different types of thinking (creative, critical and reflective).
Our school fair is coming up this term and we will be creating works of art for this focusing on our favourite landscapes.
We hope you enjoy reading about our learning once we start blogging! Please feel free to leave a comment or check out our syndicate site pohutukwarolly.edublogs.org.
Here are some photos of the process we are going through to create our artworks for the school fair.
Emma, Brooke and Mikayla are in the progress of creating landscape pictures of Pigeon Bay, Wanaka and a cave at Wainui. They are looking awesome!
